Guests are welcome to come out, meet the club, and see what we do. Membership is needed for those who plan to train with us regularly or participate in club events due to insurance regulations. There is a tab on the web site to sign up, $24 for single entry, $36 for family.

The club is focused on all types of hunting retrievers, but dogs of different ages and training levels are welcome. Whether your dog is just getting started or is more experienced, our goal is to provide a positive training environment. There are multiple water locations,  if you need to break off and do your specific drill or training.

A location map is available on the Events tab of the website. Please check the event listing before heading out, as locations may change based on access, weather, or scheduled activities.

Buckeye area: We have arranged access to water on Saturdays. This typically takes place each week, depending on special events in the area or wet weather that may impact access. Please check the Events tab on the website for the location map and any updates. Start time in the summer is 6:00AM.

Please bring water for you and your dog, a leash, collar, training gear, shade if needed, and any birds, bumpers, or equipment. We'll have wingers and bumpers, if you want to break off, you will need your own equipment. Please be on time and plan on helping setup and tear down. Addition info can be found on the Training page of the site, including steps, drills and training group etiquette.

Yes! Copper State Hunting Retriever Club hosts hunt tests and special events throughout the year, including HRC, NAHRA, and AKC hunt tests, training events, youth handler seminars, club meetings, and specialty events such as Super Singles. Event details, dates, locations, and registration information will be posted on the Events tab of the website as they become available.
