A few words from John and Lynda G.
Things went well for our December 2009 NAHRA test. It's always a success when no major problems develop and everyone leaves the test relatively happy. The turn out was as large as could be expected, and we may have made some money this year, especially due to Larry W. Sr’s. great raffle and everyone's participation in it.We certainly appreciated our six judges--three traveling from out of state: Joe C. from Costa Mesa, CA; Brian D. from Los Vegas; and Charlie T. from Los Alamos, NM. The Arizona judges included Jennifer H. and Debra B., and Copper State's own Jerry R. Feedback from participants indicated that the judges put on solid, level-appropriate tests. Good job!
A successful test also depends on many people making contributions. Michael's excellent Copper State website is an asset our club is only beginning to appreciate. We are truly fortunate. A special thanks goes to Phil S. for his hard work in preparing our extremely dry desert for fine water tests. Thanks so much to Mary T. for her great work with our Beginners. It's been a long time since we've had so many beginners at one of our tests, and all those beginner participants were very positive about their experience.
Also we want to thank Mary for putting together the lunches with a little help from Lynda. Steve and Jacque M. came through as usual with excellent barbecue and excellent organization for our Saturday night banquet, highlighted by plenty of ribbons awarded and Larry W. Sr's stellar raffle. Larry W. Jr. always does such a great job of making our equipment available and Roger M. was excellent help, not only in supplying our birds, but also as a mainstay worker during both days of our test.
All of our Copper State members did a great job of filling in where needed to make the test run smoothly. Manny and Linda S. telephoned a few weeks ago to see what we needed, with Linda volunteering to marshal, a job at which she excels. Barb S. rounded up a couple of helpers, including her brother Dave who is always outstanding help. Jerry R. supplied several of our gunners. We also thank the entire board of officers for their support.

Event raffle - A note from Larry W.
“I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone for your help in making the 'raffle table' such a tremendous success. Your participation both in donations and ticket sales have gone a long ways in covering our expenses for judges, judges housing and transportation, birds and all the other associated costs. This club flourishes only with the help of an active membership. Take a moment to note our corporate sponsors by looking on our website or catalog and if you have the opportunity to support them, do so and by all means mention your appreciation of their support when there. Again I can't thank each of you enough” --Larry W.Feedback from event attendees
“What a great weekend. CSHRC did an outstanding job--top drawer people and great chow. The judges did a really well. Pam & I appreciated the "beginner" segment put on by Mary and the Hunter Level was perfect for our older dog. Will be working hard on blinds to start Intermediate. Thank you John and your fellow CSHRC members--a fine group.” --Al, Pam, Skye & AngusMessage from event guest – Bobby Kern for Enhance 30/22
